Welcome to Valiant Cross Academy! I am delighted to serve as the Head of School and Co-Founder. Here at Valiant Cross, we have high expectations in the classroom, around campus, and in the community for our scholars. Our school consists of faith-based values, rigorous academic expectations, an intentional climate of structure, and a loving environment. I am grateful to be surrounded by such a motivated, smart, and caring staff. Our long-term goal is to produce scholars that will become lifelong learners and productive citizens.

Along with developing the spiritual lives of scholars, our teachers provide a high quality and challenging curriculum. One of the finest characteristics of our school is the sense of community that we all share. My prayer for our scholars is that they will always remember the love and dedication provided by the teachers and staff of Valiant Cross. As someone who has been involved in education for my entire adult career, I know that one person can help change a child’s life in a positive way.

I graduated from Alabama State University with a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision. After working with the Autauga County school system for 13 years, I saw the need for mentors for the most vulnerable children. I founded a mentorship program called Brother2Brother and Sister2Sister that still meets regularly in Autauga and Montgomery Counties. In 2015, I, along with my brother Frederick Brock, founded Valiant Cross Academy in an effort to transcend the challenges facing young African American men in Montgomery, Alabama. I believe given the right opportunities, these scholars can achieve their dreams and become pillars of the community. On a personal level, I am married to my wonderful wife, D’Tanja, and we have two beautiful daughters, Noah and Jonah.
